Dāna means generosity. Supporting a teacher and the practice through freely given gifts — offered according to one’s means, with no set fee — is a long and honoured tradition in Buddhism.

On April 1, 2021, Jeff retired from Hanazono University. As such, Jeff will accept dana-donations to fund Zen activities (including travel for retreats, upkeep for the hermitage in Kyoto, etc). Dana-donations for Jeff can be given directly to him as follows:
